We’ve barely been living in our new apartment for a week, and we’ve already had a number of guests. This is really fun for me, and makes Joy happier than I am. She loves guests and being a hostess.

This afternoon Joy called me and asked me to meet up with her at the mall after she was done with work. She had to return a few things, and she wanted to see what Victoria Secret had to offer this year. We got a suprising number of things done at the mall in addition to shopping, because there is both a RadioShack and a Verizon store in the mall. I was pretty happy with the trip.
When we got home we had stuff from VS, RadioShack, and The Limited.

Joy and I are moving in less than a week now. Things are getting interesting and tense now, because we’ve still got a lot of packing to do. Then there is also Christmas between now and the move date.

Tonight is the second night this week that Joy has been in Gainesville while I am stuck here in Orlando without her. She keeps calling me to ask if I miss her yet, and I do. She is lucky though, she’s got all our friends up there with her to keep her company. In fact, two of them are staying with her in her hotel tonight.

At church this past Sunday Joy and I signed up to donate time and goods to the Relief effort. So we were happy to receive an e-mail a few days ago telling us about one of the first ways that Joy could help as an organizer/coordinator — Data Entry!

In the last few weeks Joy has been home a lot, because she doesn’t have a job just yet (she’s gotten offers, but she is holding out for “the one”) and she is new to the area so she doesn’t know a lot of people here. Oh, and she was sick.
During all this time she had a few complaints about living with me in Orlando. One of the most frequently occuring complaints was that I don’t clean up after myself as much as she would like. The place isn’t tidy enough for her liking, and she feels like she is always cleaning up after me.

Part of getting married is combining all your stuff. This has taken Joy and me a while to do. We will have two apartments until the end of August, and a lot of our stuff that used to be “Joy stuff” is still in Gainesville with her until she finishes school (two more weeks until graduation!) In addition to the stuff there is all the finances, bank accounts, credit card accounts, car titles, name changes, getting new IDs, etc etc.
